Request a free Quit Kit to help jump-start your success in becoming a healthier you by providing tools to assist with tobacco cessation including items such as fidgets, sugarless gum, and other resources along with a small supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (gum). These items will help support you in this change by reducing cravings and increasing your quit success.

BASICS

Description:​

BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students) is an evidence-based program that has shown significant reduction in college student high risk drinking. The National Institute of Health (NIH) and The National Institute for Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse (NIAAA) ranks BASICS among the most successful programs to decrease harm resulting from college student drinking. Scholarly research continues to solidify its effectiveness with over forty (40) random control trials conducted within the decade. BASICS uses motivational interviewing, an evidence-based approach for helping people make changes.​

The SWC offers wellness check-ins for undergraduate and graduate students that give you a chance to talk openly with a trained, non-judgmental listener about anything that might be going on in your life. Our team makes wellness check-ins available via Zoom, phone, or in-person (masked indoors or unmasked outside). Select your preference during the scheduling process!
